Benai Boyd

Born and raised in Los Angeles, California, Benai Boyd has always carried a deep passion for the performing arts. A graduate of the American Musical and Dramatic Academy, she has built a remarkable 25-year career, gracing stages around the world. One of her greatest honors was being part of the original cast and creative process of Disney’s “Frozen – Live at the Hyperion”, where she originated the roles of “Queen Iduna “ and “Bulda”. Collaborating with industry leaders such as Bobby Lopez, Bob Iger, and Liesl Tommy, Benai helped bring the first liveadaptation of the beloved animated film to life. Her artistic contributions remain foundational to the ongoing productions and tours of “Frozen” today.

After years of dedication, Benai took her final bow due to injury, closing that chapter of her career—but leaving behind a legacy of artistry, passion, and excellence that continues to inspire.

Benai’s journey hasn’t been without challenges, but each step has shaped her into the advocate she is today. Benai has been honored by the City of Long Beach for her workuplifting the voices of people with disabilities, and she is the proud creator and host of The castABLE Podcast, where they take on ableism in the entertainment industry and invite listeners to see disability through a lens of understanding and respect.

Benai serves on the Boards of Able Arts Work and ARTCO Theater Company, advocating for greater inclusion of people with disabilities in the arts. She also mentors with Allwayz on Stage, empowering performers with diverse disabilities to shine on stage and beyond.

“At the heart of all my work is a simple belief: growth requires unlearning, and while not everyone shares the same experiences, we all have space to evolve, connect, and create positive change.”
